Biography

Ganapathi is a most jovial person and a smart working guy; he never-give-up anytime, even though it is beyond his capability. He is a key team player, can handle pressurized situations with a smile, and encourages others to complete the task within the time frame. He is known as Kattappa on the IIT Campus because of his dedication and hairstyle. He was one of the fine candidates with an eight-pack body in the campus sports. He is pursuing his Ph.D. in Energy conversion and storage in electrochemistry under Prof. Kothandaraman R. He attended more than 10 National and International conferences in India, Singapore, and Switzerland. He received several awards such as the Institute Research award, ACS Best poster award, and many more. He is passionate about research in energy and wants to become an entrepreneur in the same field.

  • Institute Research Award (It carries a cash prize of Rs. 20,000 for +one international conference in the abroad worth of ₹1,50,000) from IIT Madras in March 2022 for his outstanding PhD Work.
  • Best Energy Hackathon Team Award at International Conference on Energy Conversion and Storage (IECS-2023) which took place from 18th – 20th January 2023 in Research Park, IIT Madras, India.
  • ACS Applied Energy Materials Best poster presentation award certificate at “Emergent Materials for Energy and Environment (EMEE-2023)” held on March 04-05, 2023 organized by the Department of Chemistry, IIT Roorkee.
  • Received the best paper presentation award certificate in International Virtual Conference on Advanced Functional Materials (ICAFM-2021) between 13th – 15th December 2021, organized by KL university, Andhra Pradesh.
  • Received the Energy Material’s best poster presentation (First) award certificate at first “Materials of the Future: Smart Applications in Science and Engineering” e-conference held between 29th – 31st March 2021 organised by Qatar University, Qatar.
  • Received the best paper presentation award certificate (Springer Nature award) at National Symposium on Electrochemical Science and Technology [NSEST-2020] & ECSI Research Scholars Meet 2020 [ECSIRM-2020] organised by The Electrochemical Society of India, Bengaluru and Department of Inorganic & Physical Chemistry Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, India on 22nd January 2021.
