His recent scholarly contributions address forest conservation, sustainable management practices, and the effects of land-use changes, with a specific focus on deforestation and forest fragmentation within Bangladesh.

Mrs. Kaluthanthiri Patabendi Sepali Darshika De Silva serves as an Assistant Director for Natural Resources Management at Sri Lanka's Ministry of Environment. She holds a BA in Geography and an MSc in Natural Resources Management from the University of Peradeniya, as well as an MSc in Energy and Environment Policy from Korea University.
